Development’s trends of russian economic sector

In 2021, a survey was conducted among the CEOs of the largest Russian companies regarding the stability of the Russian economic sector. Based on the data obtained, key trends and peculiarities of development were identified.

The main trend was an increase in directors’ positive mood regarding the future position of their companies. A year ago, there was a minimum level of optimism among CFOs, however in 2021 the situation has totally changed: this indicator increased by 30%.

Such a cardinal change is based on the fact that the majority of Russian companies started to reach the pre-demand revenue levels. This is especially pronounced in the financial industry: 73% of companies in the financial industry reported at the time of the survey that they had already achieved or increased their revenues compared to the beginning of 2020.

To summarize, the crisis caused by COVID-19 has passed its active stage and the economic sustainability of businesses is starting to take a pre-crisis position.
